Marewa Samson made the big move to Cronulla from New Zealand to pursue her dream of playing in the NRLW, which came true in round 7 of the 2026 season.
The 21-year-old was a member of the Sharks' 2025 Women's Premiership side and can play at centre, second-row or on the wing.
She's a Ngāruawāhia Panthers junior who represented the Aotearoa Māori side in 2024/25 and practices her culture daily.
Outside of footy, Samson works as a support worker, looking after people with a disability, and is also studying a business degree.
