NRLW Late Mail: Round 7 v Cowboys

NRLW Cronulla-Sutherland Shark #44 Marewa Samson will start on the wing in her debut game against the Cowboys later tonight.

The 21-year-old from New Zealand has her team inspired after an emotional jersey presentation this afternoon, with her parents flying over from Ngaruawahia to cheer her on.

That means a few late changes to the side: Caitlan Johnston-Green shifts to the bench, with Manilita Takapautolo moving from backrow into the middle; China Polata moves from the centres to the backrow, which brings Cassie Staples off the wing and into the centres, allowing Samson to start on the wing.

The 9th-placed Sharks will need to beat the now last-placed Cowboys to help them make a late-season surge into the NRLW's top 6 for finals.

The game kicks off at 6:15pm at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
