NRL Team List: Round 23 v Dragons

A few changes for the Sharks ahead of their Monty Porter Memorial Cup clash with St George in the first week of Indigenous Round.

The ever-reliable Mawene Hiroti comes into the centres after a concussion to KL Iro in last Sunday's 32-16 victory over the Rabbitohs.

Iro has entered the NRL's 11-day stand-down period and will be available for selection in round 24 next week.

The Sharks are also hopeful milestone man Siosifa Talakai will be back for that home game against the Raiders, after he suffered a bicep injury on Sunday.

Jesse Colquhoun has been named to start this week, after being named on the bench the last two games but then being promoted to the starting side before kick-off each time.

Hohepa Puru returns from a concussion to take his place back on Cronulla's bench; the versatile middle forward has been a mainstay since coming into the team and impressing from round 11.

Centre Michael Gabrael has been named in jumper 18 and is a chance to make his NRL debut if called upon on Sunday.

The 21-year-old was the equal 3rd top try scorer in NSW Cup last year; Gabrael has 26 tries and 10 try assists from his 31 games for the Newtown Jets.

The Sharks will run out in the Dragons derby in their 2026 Indigenous jersey, which you can read more about HERE, with kick-off at 4:05pm at Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah.
