Despite fielding a young and inexperienced squad due to a number of players being elevated into the NRLW team to help cover their current injury crisis, the NSW Women's Premiership Sharks continued on their winning ways with a last start victory over the Wentworthville Magpies.
In recording a third win in four starts, and a second in a row, the Sharks were too good for the Magpies in running out 22-12 winners in the round nine match played at Henson Park.
The NSWWP Sharks are back in action this weekend when they play the Eels in a round 10 match at Ocean Protect Stadium as the curtain raiser to the NRLW game featuring the same two teams.
The Sharks sit in seventh position on the ladder with two games remaining and would need to win both matches to have any hope of qualifying for the finals and defending the premiership won last year.
