ISP Team List - Jets v Knights

On the back of a resounding 50-24 win over Wentworthville last weekend the Newtown Jets will look to continue their push towards the top eight when they play the Newcastle Knights in a round 17 match on Saturday.

The Jets were close to their best in racing to a 34-4 half time lead against the Magpies, with the win sounding a warning shot to the other leading teams in the Intrust Super Premiership.

Inspiring the them to victory were two of the young guns in the Jets side, with Blayke Brailey electric out of dummy half and 17-year-old centre Bronson Xerri reaping the rewards with three first half tries out wide.

Half-back Kyle Flanagan missed the match and he will again be absent this weekend after he was selected in the NSW 20's Origin team alongside Brailey and Xerri, with the trio to be in NSW camp ahead of next Wednesday night's Origin match.

The Jets have still been able to field a formidable line up despite missing the three NSW reps for a game against the bottom-placed Knights.

Newtown are currently sixth on the ISP ladder.

The Newtown team is listed below.
