Cronulla Sharks five-eighth James Maloney has been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee following last night's game against the Titans.

Charged with a Grade 2 Dangerous Contact charge, the incident occured in 88th minute when the half made a tackle on Titans centre Konrad Hurrell. 

Maloeny can take the early guilty plea with 225 points from the charge however if found Guilty will be handed 300 points therefore a 3 week suspension.

The Club has until midday tomorrow to decide whether to fight the charge.
