Fox Sports reporter Nathan Ryan last Friday paid a visit to Sharks pre-season training - and he might now have wished he didn't.

Ryan took part in the side's fitness drills at the Cronulla Academy, and earned a whole new appreciation for what it takes to be an NRL player, especially in the warmer months.

"I’ve been writing about rugby league for almost seven years and during that time I’ve written about pre-season training a lot," Ryan said

"But I’ve never truly understood just how tough the players really are and what they go through."

Hear from Head Coach Shane Flanagan, and Physical Performance Manager Andrew Gray, as Ryan was put through his paces in the Sharks colours.
