Sharks forward Tinirau Arona caught up with Sharks TV on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the side's clash with the Cowboys at Remondis Stadium this weekend.

Returning to the first grade side after stints in and out of the team, Arona last weekend turned in a strong performance against the Warriors in front of his family and friends.

"It's always good to go over to New Zealand and get the two points, we enjoyed the weekend," he said.

"Seeing family and getting tickets for the whole tribe ... It was a good balance between seeing family, but also knowing in the back of my head that we were there to do a job.

"I was pretty happy with the result, and I got to enjoy that with a bit of family afterwards."

Arona also spoke about this Saturday's match with the Cowboys, how the Sharks will stop JT and who he thinks could be the next 'Beau Ryan'.

Watch the interview with 'T', now playing on Sharks TV.
