With Paul Gallen potentially returning to the field in State of Origin game 3, the Sharks have one less in their casualty ward this week, with all players coming through the Cowboys game to be available for the match against the Sea Eagles on Sunday.

Gallen’s rib cartilage problem continues to heal, with the NSW captain almost certain to pass the team medical and to take his place in the Origin game set down for Suncorp Stadium next Wednesday.

Of the others who have recently been on the sidelines with injury, Blake Ayshford has recovered from a lower back strain and could have played if required against the Cowboys, while Sosaia Feki, in the wars somewhat after coming from the field with knee and neck problems the past two games, has also been given a clean bill of health.

Feki has been selected in the Sharks side to tackle the Sea Eagles this weekend and after training strongly today is in no doubt for the Manly match.

As for the long-term injured, all continue the arduous rehabilitation process, with none expected to make a return to the playing field anytime soon.
