June 18, 2014: After 8 consecutive series losses, Paul Gallen's NSW Blues reclaimed the State of Origin shield in a hard-fought, 6 points to 4 win over the Queensland Maroons.

Having toppled the QLD side at Suncorp Stadium in the Origin series opener, the Blues returned to their happy hunting ground at the ANZ Stadium with the chance to clinch the series.

Sharks hardman Gallen was at his usual best, and starred on the night, before halfback Trent Hodkinson scored a late converted try to send the hosts to the lead.

Gallen's Blues would round out the remaining minutes of the game to seel their first series win since 2005, and the Sharks skipper resembled a happy figure as he and his team mates celebrated the break through win.

Ahead of next Wednesday's, 2015 Origin series Game II, re-live memories of Gallen's performance and the Blues' win - now playing on Sharks TV.
