Sharks prop Andrew Fifita will challenge the grading of a dangerous throw charge stemming from the match against the Newcastle Knights last Friday.
Fifita was put on report and subsequently charged with a dangerous throw on Knights hooker Adam Clydesdale in the 11th minute of the match, with the match review panel placing a grade three charge and a 525-point base penalty on the tackle.
Should Fifita have accepted the charge the early plea would have meant 472 points and a four-game suspension, however should he fail in his bid to have the tackle down-graded he will miss six games with 630 points assessed to the charge.
If successful in having the charge downgraded Fifita will still miss two matches.
The judiciary hearing will be tomorrow night at Rugby League Central at Moore Park.
