Valentine Holmes was certainly worthy of his selection in the NYC Holden Cup Team of the Year, announced at NRL Central earlier this week.
A standout for the Sharks in the under-20's, Holmes recently received the call-up to the Sharks NRL squad and in five games in the top grade has made every post a winner.
While quietly spoken and much preferring to tackle the likes of Manu Vatuvei head on than face a microphone and a camera at this stage of his young career, he did answer a few questions in an interview now playing on Sharks TV.
See what Holmes had to say in the brief interview about his NYC team selection and the exciting ride he has experienced so far in 2014.
