The Monty Porter Sports Foundation is holding its annual fundraising event with media personality Darryl ‘Big Marn’ Brohman and former premiership winning player and ex-NRL coach Royce Simmons headlining the entertainment.
To be held at The Tradies at Gymea, The Monty Porter Sports Foundation Sportsman’s Luncheon is open to anyone with a passion for sport while looking for a relaxed and entertaining afternoon.
Set up with an aim to assist families in trying to raise funds to allow their kids to compete in sporting events around Australia and internationally, the Monty Porter Foundation has been so far successful in providing much-needed financial support helping Sutherland Shire kids to achieve their sporting goals.
The families are always very grateful of the opportunities such assistance can provide, with the only way the Monty Porter Foundation can help is through fundraising activities and events such as the Sportsman’s Luncheon and the generous support given by those who attend.
The luncheon, which is to be held on Friday, July 4, kicking off at 12.30pm, is $120 per head, a price all inclusive of food and drinks, as well as the entertainment provided by Brohman and Simmons.
Auctions, raffles and other entertainment will also be conducted on the day.
Monty Porter, who sadly passed away a few years ago, was the first captain of the Cronulla Sharks back in 1967, with the club pleased to be able to support and promote the activities and initiatives of the Monty Porter Foundation.
