Late Mail: Round 9 - Sharks v Tigers

The final 19-man teams are in ahead of today's round 9 clash between the Sharks and Wests Tigers, which kicks off at 4.05pm at Ocean Protect Stadium.

Earlier this week coach Craig Fitzgibbon elevated co-captain Cam McInnes and Kiwi international Briton Nikora into the Sharks starting side, with the pair now confirmed in the run-on team for today's game.

Jesse Colquhoun and Billy Burns, who Fitzgibbon assured in his pre-game press conference will take part in the match at some point, have been shifted to the interchange bench.

Niwhai Puru played for the Jets in the NSW Cup yesterday, drops off the extended bench, while the Sharks starting side is as named earlier in the week.

The Sharks head into the contest as the bookies favourites despite the Tigers sitting in the top four on the NRL ladder following a strong start to the 2026 season.
