Sharks supporting Zambrero’s efforts to end world hunger

Zambrero has had the Sharks ‘back’ throughout the 2022 season, supporting the team as back of jersey sponsors and now the Sharks are urging members, fans, and the rugby league community  to jump on board and join in efforts to end world hunger.

On Wednesday, October 19, the annual Zambrero Plate 4 Plate Day returns and they need your help.

Zam volunteers will come together across the country in 6 locations to help pack over 450,000 meals, this year to be distributed by hunger relief partners Rise Against Hunger to the neighbouring country of East Timor and to communities right here in Australia through their retail partners, Food Bank.

Plate 4 Plate is an initiative driven by Dr. Sam Prince, one of Australia’s most successful entrepreneurs and philanthropists. Prince started Zambrero in 2005 as a 21-year-old medical student in Canberra with a vision to make a difference towards food and famine.

Zambrero now operates over 230 restaurants globally, and its Plate 4 Plate initiative hit it’s 60 million meals donated milestone in August 2022

In addition to the Plate 4 Plate Day meal packing events, Zambrero will also be offering double donations in-restaurants and via delivery on the day.

For every burrito, bowl and retail product purchased at Zambrero on October 19, an additional meal will be donated to someone in need. That’s right, for every meal purchased Zambrero will donate two!

The Plate 4 Plate Day will be packed with local community members and "Feel Good" vibes – so register today to volunteer in your state! CLICK HERE to register.

Or drop into a Zambrero restaurant for a meal on October 19 to show your support.
