Injury Update - Johnson-Hunt

The Sharks can confirm star five eighth Shaun Johnson has suffered an achilles rupture and is scheduled to see a surgeon tomorrow.

Johnson was injured in the early stages of the second half of his teams game against the Roosters at the SCG last night.

He now faces a long recovery and rehabilitation process following surgery to repair the injury.

The news on the knee injury to prop Royce Hunt was yet to be confirmed, with scans scheduled for later today. The early diagnosis however was a rupture to his patella and similar to Johnson he faces a long stint on the sidelines.

Josh Dugan who came from the field late in the game with a knee problem, will also have scans tonight although the injury isn't expected to be serious with his availability for the Sharks game against Canberra next Saturday and round one of the Finals the week following, to be confirmed in the coming days.

The Sharks will welcome the return of skipper Wade Graham for the Raiders match next weekend, with Chad Townsend to be available for week one of the finals.
