An injury suffered at a Sharks training session earlier this week will see half back Nicho Hynes miss his team’s clash with the Sea Eagles on Friday night.
After undergoing scans following the incident, it was revealed that Hynes had a minor calf strain, with further testing required to determine how long the injury is likely to keep him sidelined.
Hynes had played all 10 matches of the current season to date, after playing all 27 of the Sharks games during the 2025 season.
In other Sharks injury news, Sione Katoa remains unavailable with an ankle issue, however he is expected to be in line for a return in round 14.
The Sharks three Origin representatives in Blayke Brailey, Addin Fonua-Blake and Briton Nikora are to be named in the team to play Manly on Friday night, with their status to be determined following Wednesday night’s match.
