Film maker Dane Jaeger ‘Focuses on the Ability’ of Brett McNamara, a passionate Sharks fan and a very important member of the local Cronulla district junior league club the Gymea Gorillas.

For almost 25 years a permanent fixture at Gymea home ground Corea St Oval, as well as at other Sutherland Shire venues in support of his teams, Brett is the self-proclaimed ‘No 1’ ball boy at the Gorillas, and who could argue with his assessment.

Jaeger followed his every move, with the end result a film which was entered in a Nova Employment, Focus On Ability, Short Film Festival, tracking Brett from the sideline with kicking tee in hand, to the dressing rooms where he joined in the club song, then eventually to the field where he would play his first game in the green and white colours of the gorillas.

The result was a film which captured the theme of the festival, which was focussing on ability, in this production on the passion Brett has for his club and the game, the support he receives from the rugby league community and the enjoyment he provides to those around him.
