Sharks Nicho Hynes with Find Ya Feet founder Tommy Herschell

Highlighting the work of Find Ya feet and Tommy Herschell, the Sharks will host their third Mental Fitness Round when they take on the Manly Sea Eagles on Friday night.

A passion project of our very own Nicho Hynes, a vocal advocate for mental health, Mental Fitness Round was the brainchild of Hynes, with the support of Gotcha4Life in year one and now enjoying a significant impact in schools, workplaces and throughout the community as it moves into a second year with Find Ya Feet.

The partnership with the Sharks and Find Ya Feet largely come about following a chance message on social media to Nicho, which then resulted in becoming a proud ambassador for Find Ya Feet who are aiming to empowering future generations by conducting community, school and corporate workshops that make a proper difference.

Through Find Ya Feet, Herschell promotes important tools and resources in championing vulnerability and encouraging people to speak up, knowing that a simple, open conversation and asking, “How are you really?”, can spark lasting change.

He recently presented to the Sharks NRL and NRLW teams, equipping attendees with the skills to share and own their stories, with the entire Cronulla club supportive of Find Ya Feet and the life-changing work they do.

Hynes, just one of a host of high-profile supporters getting behind Find Ya Feet, is joined by numerous other ambassadors looking to help spread the positive messages, included amongst them Harry Grant from the Melbourne Storm, retired cricketer Matthew Haydon and current Australian representative Mitch Marsh, as well as ex-Olympians Ky Hurst and Sam Riley

World record surfer and mental health advocate Blakey Johnston and ultra marathon runner Darby Maguire are amongst other prominent shire locals actively supporting the cause.

Johnston held his World's Biggest Paddle Out event at Cronulla Beach in March of 2025 in raising funds to support the delivery of school workshops for more than 10,000 young people across the Sutherland Shire. Maguire’s efforts include running from Coolangatta to Cronulla to support Tommy in getting into more local schools for little or no cost.

While NRL legend Sam Thaiday won a season of reality TV series 'I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here', earning a $100,000 donation for the Find Ya Feet in supporting the programs they run and the work they do.

The Sharks premier partner Aramex have also been strong supporters of Find Ya Feet and have raised over $150,000 across the past two years to help bring the Find Ya Feet message in schools across the country.

In the weeks leading up to Mental Fitness Round, Find Ya Feet has been active through the Cronulla-Sutherland community in spreading life changing messages to hundreds of young people via its school workshops.

And at the game on Friday, Find Ya Feet will have stall where members and fans can access more information about the work they do, while getting some exclusive Find Ya Feet merchandise. More information is also available by visiting the website at www.findyafeet.org.
