Scans earlier today have confirmed Sharks co-captain and hooker Blayke Brailey suffered a right arm fracture in the match against the Sea Eagles.
Brailey was a dominant force for the Sharks before coming from the field in the 54th minute of last night’s game, following on from an outstanding Origin debut for the NSW Blues in game one of the series on Wednesday.
Brailey will now undergo surgery early next week, with an expected return to play date to be determined following the surgery.
Hohepa Puru filled the hooking role for the Sharks last night, while the experienced and capable Jayden Berrell will also be in line to fill the role in Brailey’s absence.
