Three wins, followed by last week’s bye, has the Jersey Flegg Sharks sitting in equal first position on the competition ladder but facing a difficult opponent in local rivals St George Illawarra in a round five match on Friday night as they look to continue their unbeaten start to the 2018 season.
The Sharks managed strong wins in each of their opening three rounds, two of those comeback victories after they had trailed late into the contests, before their momentum was halted somewhat by a round four bye.
Rested and ready to go, the Sharks now face a Dragons side who arrive on the back of a last start loss to the Knights after having won two of their first three matches.
With a strong forward pack leading the way, a talented group of outside backs have been impressive, capitalising on the platform that has been laid, with Coach Dave Howlett hoping for more of the same come Friday night.
