Tomorrow will be a HUGE day at Southern Cross Group Stadium, with plenty on happening at the Sharks’ home game.

The game will be an historic one for the Club, honouring the 50th Anniversary since the Sharks’ first ever game.

Despite the first ever match being played against the Roosters, tomorrow’s match will mark 50 years to the day since our Club’s inaugural match. To honour the occasion, the Sharks will wear a heritage kit to mirror that worn by the first ever Sharks team.

The match will also see Chris Heighington play his 300th NRL match, a milestone match for not only Chris however his family.

Having played 201 matches at the West Tigers, Heighington has played 98 matches for the Sharks and will join an elite group of only 26 players who have played 300 games in the top grade.

To celebrate the day, #Heighno300 face masks will be handed out on arrival and fans are encouraged to get behind the Club favourite.

With four games to be played tomorrow, gates will open at 10:30am, with the NYC to kick-off at 10:45am. Following this will be the Newtown Jets taking on the Newcastle Knights in the Intrust Super Premiership, with kick-off scheduled for 12:40pm.
