Ellie Johnston has been retained in the Westpac NSW Blues Women’s team, while Chanty Kiria Ratu will again play in the number six jersey for Queensland in game three of the Women’s Origin Series.
NSW coach John Strange has named the same 20-player squad, with Johnston, who has been strong up front for the Blues in their two wins so far, again selected in the starting side for the third and final game of the Ampol Women’s State of Origin series to be played at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast on Thursday 28 May.
The only changes to the NSW team are Olivia Higgins, who was at No.14 for Game Two but started the match, has been named in the No.9 jumper. Hooker Keeley Nizza, who started from the bench in Game Two and scored a crucial try, has been named at No.14.
Sharks hooker Quincy Dodd, yet to take part in the series, has been named at No.18.
For Queensland, Kiria Ratu will again play five eighth for the Queenslanders, while in recognition for her performances in Sharks colours over the past three seasons, Georgia Ravics has been included in the Maroons extended squad.
Ravics has scored 20 tries in 28 matches for the Sharks.
The Westpac NSW Blues Women made it back-to-back series wins after winning the opening two games in Newcastle and Brisbane. They will become the first NSW Origin team since 2000 to claim a series 3-0 if they win Game Three on the Gold Coast.
