Sharks fans can brace themselves for a Round 3 extravaganza, as Cronulla goes head to head with the Dragons this Sunday night at Southern Cross Group Stadium (SCGS).

The action-packed local derby will feature everything from a landmark Sharks’ Women’s Series game, to a ‘Dab Cam’ and the presentation of the Monty Porter Cup.

SCGS will open its gates at 3:30pm, welcoming fans inside as Cronulla’s NYC squad warms up to take on the Dragons at 3:45pm. The match is bound to be close, with the Sharks demolishing the Raiders last week (12 – 74) and St. George yet to lose a game.

In a historic move, SCGS will host the Sharks’ Women’s Series side’s first ever home game against the Dragons at 5:15pm this weekend. The pair last met in August 2016, where the Sharks won 16 – 12 in a nail-biting clash. With Australian Jillaroos taking the field for both sides this weekend, fans can expect a fast-paced and exciting display of Women’s Rugby League.

The pre-game entertainment continues, with an under 8’s Junior Rugby League display game and the return of beloved MCs Matt de Groot and Dane Wheeler. Game Days in 2017 are all about the fans – get excited for crowd interviews and the Sharks’ first ever ‘Dab Cam’!

The atmosphere at SCGS will once again be buzzing. This Sunday, fans can expect an inflatable obstacle course, 6in1 Castle, Sharks slide, pace painters, inflatable sharks, mascots, Drummers in Shark Tank, DJs, membership marquees and FRMC set ups.

As the NRL sides warm up, the Sharks’ very own Liam Tapper and Rob Willis will take the field to host the Shire’s favourite Footy Show.

The Mermaids will then dance and dazzle in a pre-game performance to form the night’s guard of honour before a 6:30pm kick off.

A platter of mouth-watering food options will be on offer throughout the night. Fans can satisfy their every craving with Howling Forest (coffee), Berlin Bangers (sausages), Street Sliders (burgers), Caminito Sausage Sizzle, Cheesee Toastees, pizza, ice cream and a range of kiosks.

In a half-time spectacular at 7:10pm, the Mermaids will raise the roof with a new performance and Junior Rugby League will once again be on display. Fans can also look forward to another crowd sing-along!

The players might hit the sheds at full time, but Game Day festivities will continue! Fans will enjoy sideline seats as our Community Partner, the Monty Porter Foundation, presents the Monty Porter Cup. Player interviews will commence at 8:10pm, before the Shark Kick at 8:20pm.

Action will kick on at the Cronulla Sharks Leagues Club, with Original Sin INXS performing from 8:30pm until 11pm in the Steve Rogers Lounge.

There’s plenty to look forward to when the Sharks take on frenemies, the Dragons, at Southern Cross Group Stadium this Sunday!
