Valentine Holmes spoke with the Big Sports Breakfast about missing th Dacia World Club Challenge and extending his contract with the 2016 Premiership winners.

The Sharks fullback injured his hamstring in last week’s trial match against the Broncos at Redcliffe Stadium. The injury will prevent Holmes from taking the field in Wigan with the Sharks next Sunday.

Though disappointed to miss the Dacia World Club Challenge, the 21-year-old remains positive about recovering in time to play in the side's clash with the Broncos to open the 2017 NRL Telstra Premiership.
