Newtown Jets - Grand Final Team List

Missing a handful of key personnel due to injury and their call up into the Sharks NRL squad, the Jets were still able to get the job done against the Newcastle Knights in their NSW Cup Preliminary Final as they chase a second premiership title in three years.

NSW Cup winners in 2024, the Jets beat the Knights 30-14 last Saturday afternoon, in what was their ninth victory in succession, to progress to a Grand Final against the Penrith Panthers.

While the final scoreline indicated a comfortable Jets win, the prelim final was a match which was in the balance until the last-minute try by winger Kristian Dixon which confirmed their place in the competition deciding match.

For the Grand Final, the Jets welcome back centre Michael Gabrael from injury and suspension, with strike fullback Liam Ison also listed to return.

The Jets and Panthers met just once during the 2026 season, way back in round two, with the Newtown side recording a 38-16 win.

See below the two team lists, with the Grand Final scheduled for a 7.00pm kickoff at CommBank Stadium on Saturday.
