Just moments after touching down in New Zealand, the Sharks headed to Auckland's West to see fans awaiting at the Waitemate Rugby Club.
No stranger to community visits, Sharks veteran Chris Heighington said it remains as important as ever to give back to those who support the game.
"There's so many young kids running around, playing the game, all wanting to be first graders," Heighington said.
"It's great for the game of Rugby League, and it's great for the Auckland community having the Nines here."
