Speaking with Sharks TV on Wednesday, Sharks Coach Shane Flanagan discussed a range of hot topics ahead of the 2017 NRL season, not least the gruelling pre-season efforts put in by his men.

Heading into the latter stages of the pre-season training regime, Flanagan spoke of how he and his players are finding a new motivation in defending the title of 'NRL Premiers', as well as the burning ambition to earn higher honours when fronting the World Club Challenge fixture against Wigan in Feburary.

Flanagan also gave an insight into which players will make the venture to Eden Park to feature in the annual Nines tournament, before shedding some light on the men who are most likely to fill vacant key positions in his line-up come the start of the regular season.
