Sharks Captain Paul Gallen has been ruled out of tomorrow’s match against the Cowboys and did not travel to Townsville with the team today.
Gallen failed to fully recover from a rib cartilage injury sustained while playing for NSW in State of Origin Two in Melbourne just over two weeks ago.
Head Coach Shane Flanagan said: “Gal trained well on Wednesday night and did nearly everything bar the contact and just probably fell a little short.
“Maybe another day or two and he may have gotten there but we had to make a decision on that and we made that yesterday.”
