A second loss in the final minutes by the NYC Sharks at their last start has them sitting 15th of the 16 teams after six rounds of the 2015 season.
The Sharks led for all but three minutes in going down to the Knights, after earlier losing to a penalty goal with the full time siren sounding in the background, in what has been a frustrating beginning to their 2015 campaign.
The young Sharks however have a chance to bounce back and begin their climb up the competition ladder when they take on a Souths side sitting just two points ahead and also struggling to string any sort of consistent form together.
With injuries to Connor Tracey and Jaden Clarke resulting in a reshuffle to his halves pairing, coach James Shepherd has again opted for Jayden Brailey and Jamayne Isaako in the playmaking roles, with the pair doing a good job in unfamiliar positions of half back and five eighth in the loss to the Knights last Friday night.
With the match still almost a week away Shepherd has kept his options open in naming eight players on his interchange bench, with decisions as to the final make up of his team to be made closer to game day.
The NYC Sharks play the Rabbits at Remondis on Monday night, with the match scheduled for a 4.45pm kick off.
