The Newtown Jets will be strengthened by the addition of eight Sharks NRL squad members for their round one clash against the Wests Tigers on Saturday.

With the depth of talent at the Sharks in 2015 NRL coach Shane Flanagan couldn’t find a berth for the likes of Sami Sauiluma, Blake Ayshford, Kyle Stanley and Todd Murphy, with Jets coach Greg Matterson set to be the beneficiary at Henson Park this weekend.

The Sharks and Jets have entered into a partnership in the VB NSW Cup in 2015, with the Newtown club to feature Cronulla fulltime squad members not required for the NRL side each weekend.

Along with those players previously mentioned, Nathan Gardner, Pat Politoni, Junior Roqica and Dallas Wells will also turn out in blue for the Jets on Saturday, as will former Sharks Tim Robinson, Patrice Siolo and Kurt Dillon who have joined the Newtown club this season.

The match at Henson on Saturday is scheduled for a 3.00pm kick off, with the NSW Cup clash to be preceded by two NSWRL junior representative fixtures, both featuring the Cronulla Sharks.

The Matthews Cup Sharks play the Sydney Roosters at 12 noon, followed by the SG Ball Sharks v Roosters match at 1.30pm.

In a special offer from the Jets, all Sharks 2015 members will be admitted to Henson Park for free.
