Ashleigh NIsbet was given the honour of captaining the Australian Schoolboys while Connor Tracey kicked five goals and played an instrumental role in the win when the young Kangaroos beat the Leeds Under 19’s Academy team by 38-28 in a match played overnight.

Nisbet got across the line for a try in the win, while Tracey was impressive with the ball in hand, setting up an early Australian try. The Sharks 20’s halfback and De La Salle junior also pulled off a try saving tackle in his teams’ win in a solid display.

Keenan Yorsten, who joins the Sharks from Brisbane at the conclusion of the Schoolboys Tour, played his role strongly and also crossed for a four-pointer in the win over the young Rhinos.

Jayden Brailey was the Australian interchange hooker in the Leeds game.

The victory was the third for the Australian Schoolboys, following on from an 86-6 win over the Combined Regional Academies and a 36-18 triumph over Wigan Warriors Academy.

The match was played at at Headingley Carnegie.
