The Sharks ran out onto Remondis Stadium on Sunday wearing the specially-designed Kari Aboriginal Services, Close the Gap round jerseys which were the work of Aboriginal Artist Danielle (DJ) Mate.

The design was based on Kari’s logo highlighting the ‘family’ tree and the loving heart at the centre of every healthy family.

The Sharks are now giving fans an opportunity to own what is a unique piece of Sharks memorabilia with an auction taking place where you can own 15 of the match worn jerseys. (The NRL debut jerseys worn by Scott Sorensen and Sione Masima are presented to the players at season’s end).

In addition to the special Kari artwork each jersey featured the names of players from the 1994 successful premiership winning Reserve Grade and Under 21 teams printed on the front. Names such as Rogers, Peachey, Dykes and Treister.

The match-worn jerseys will be individually signed and presented to the successful bidders in a special jersey display box.

The auction ends this Wednesday, August 27 at 5.00pm.
