It was a somewhat uncharacteristic display from the NSW Cup Sharks who at times were their own worst enemies in going down by 23-16 to the Newcastle Knights at their last start.

Poor ball control and a lack of discipline was costly in the end run, with the Knights capitalizing on the opportunities presented to them as they scored their third win in four starts.

For the Sharks it was their second loss in succession, coming on the back of two victories to start the 2014 season, with the match against the Warriors this week giving them a chance to climb back towards the top end of the NSW Cup competition table.

Their opponents have struggled so far this year, with four losses to date, however no Warrior side can ever be underestimated, with this NSW Cup team no different.

The Sharks can again count on a healthy representation from the Melbourne Storm as a part of their reciprocal arrangement, with fullback Kurt Mann in particular in good form last week, with another solid performance set to put the Cronulla side on course for a victory.

The Sharks v Warriors NSW Cup match is the second of three games to be played at Remondis Stadium this Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 12.40pm.
