After biding his time in the shadows, Iro burst onto the NRL scene in 2024 to claim Cronulla's Rookie of the Year award. Having previously played just one first-grade game in 2022, the consistent centre performed like a veteran as he quickly solidified his place on the left edge. The son of former Kiwis star Kevin, away from footy the Cook Islands international enjoys hiking, barbering, watching Netflix and spending time with his family.
