Pilot Medical Update – Jesse Colquhoun

Sharks lock Jesse Colquhoun will miss the game against the Dolphins after being ruled out with knee Inflammation.

As the Sharks team were leaving for Brisbane yesterday ahead of the round 19 clash, Colquhoun headed in another direction to undergo scans, with the result being the talented young forward will miss tomorrow afternoon’s game.

As expressed by coach Craig Fitzgibbon in his pre-match media call, the Sharks are hopeful of having Colquhoun fit and available in the coming weeks.

“It’s not a significant injury and he wont he out for a long period of time” Fitzgibbon said earlier today, before later making the decision to sit Colquhoun out of the Dolphins match.

Sharks Origin representatives Addin Fonua-Blake and Blayke Brailey came through Wednesday night’s match unscathed and will play against the Dolphins, while Briton Nikora, after making 49 tackles and receiving a late head knock in a losing effort for Queensland, will be rested this weekend.

After passing his head injury assessment in the Origin game, Nikora will be available for selection for the Sharks round 20 match against Newcastle.
