Join the Sharks at a junior girl’s clinic

To mark the upcoming kick off to the Sharks’ 2026 NRLW campaign, the club’s female stars will be conducting a free All Girls Rugby League Clinic, an event aimed at giving young female fans and aspiring NRLW players the opportunity to meet their heroes and to develop their rugby league skills.

Proudly supported by Quest Apartment Hotels, this exclusive event is a chance for young players to gain an insight into how the professionals do it and to provide a glimpse of what it takes to one day become an NRLW star.

The clinic will be hosted at Ocean Protect Stadium on Saturday, May 23, running from 11:30am-1pm.

The free event will involve giveaways, fun games and drills, photo opportunities, and the chance for those taking part to feel like a real NRLW player, with the clinic conducted in a safe and supportive environment.

While an awesome initiative for young fans and female players, the NRLW squad are equally excited to be a part of something special, in realising how important these clinics are as a way to give back to the community and in showing appreciation for the support they receive.

This occasion also allows the Sharks NRLW stars to reflect on how much a similar event and opportunity may have meant to them as young girls.

“We love these opportunities to connect with and teach young girls who aspire to one day play in the NRLW,” Sharks NRLW fullback Jada Taylor said.

“It wasn’t that long ago I was a junior playing club footy with dreams of playing at an elite level.”

The Cronulla Junior Rugby League is proud to boast some of the highest female rugby league participation rates in the country, due to the ample opportunities provided to young females in the Sutherland Shire area.

In entering Lisa Fiaola Cup under-17’s and Tarsha Gale Cup under-19’s in NSWRL competitions, while also funding and supporting pathways programs for the next crop of players coming through the Sharks system, is testament to how much the club values the next generation of NRLW superstars.

Young female players interested in taking part are invited to register below and to come to Ocean Protect Stadium, wearing your favourite Sharks gear or junior club team colours, to learn more footy skills, meet your favourite players and grab some autographs in a fun, safe environment.

The Sharks FREE All-Girls Rugby League Clinic is for participants aged 7–16.
