The Cronulla Sharks are looking for talented, confident and professional dancers to join the 2026 Minespec Parts Mermaids team.
As part of the squad, you'll perform at home games throughout the NRL and NRLW season and represent the club at community and promotional events.
We're after individuals who are energetic, reliable, team-focused and comfortable engaging with fans of all ages.
The Minespec Parts Mermaids are proud ambassadors of the Sharks, showcasing the club's values on and off the field as an integral piece of the overall brand.
Regarded as one of rugby league's leading cheer squads under the guidance of director Robyn Parras, the Mermaids alone have a social following in excess of 130,000 while also featuring regularly on the various Sharks channels.
As well as lighting up the field and precinct at every home game, the Mermaids also performed in Las Vegas, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne during 2025.
AUDITION DETAILS
Stage One – Online Submission
Applicants are required to submit the following:
- A recent headshot
- A completed registration form – DOWNLOAD HERE
- A single 60-second video showcasing set choreography, dance technique and flexibility (including high kicks)

Successful applicants will be invited to attend Stage Two – the live audition.

- Crop top and shorts
- Hair and makeup styled as you would present on game day

Applicants must be 18 years or older to audition.
