Indigenous All stars prop Tommaya Kelly-Sines will bring a hard edge to Cronulla's forward pack after signing for the 2025 NRLW season.
The powerful 30-year-old from Kempsey, NSW, has tallied 16 first-grade appearances over the past three seasons with stints at Parramatta and Canberra.
Kelly-Sines is thriving in her new environment and can't wait to play for the Sharks.
"It's been such a great experience. I love it here," she said.
"I can't speak highly enough of the club and the girls.
"I've seen the progression the Sharks have had over the last couple of years and I've seen them improve each game. That's what made me come to the club.
"I want to play in the forwards, lead from the front and help set the standards.
"Pre-season's been pretty tough, but I love it. I knew a few of the girls.
"I'm learning each session and improving each week, which is really good. I'm settling in well. I love the beaches – I'm from the mid-north coast – so it feels like home."
Kelly-Sines made her NRLW debut for the Eels in Round 1, 2022. The proud Indigenous woman has achieved four All Stars caps, including February's win over the Māori Ferns.
Sharks coach Tony Herman said the front-rower is a valuable addition to the squad.
"Tommaya adds important depth and power to our stocks in the middle," Herman said.
"She's proven herself to be a consistent NRLW performer and still has untapped potential. We're excited to see her push for a place in our best 17 this year."
Kelly-Sines' first opportunity to represent Cronulla will come in a trial against the Roosters at Sharks Stadium on Sunday, June 22.
The Sharks kick off the premiership season with a clash against the Eels at home on Thursday, July 3.
