Jets Team List: Round 6

With a depleted team mirroring the Sharks NRL injury and suspension list, the Jets staged a strong second half comeback to claim a draw and one competition point at their most recent outing.

It was a display of resilience from the Newtown side against a formidable Canberra outfit in the round four clash, with the Jets primed and ready to go again following a round five bye.

This weekend the Jets play defending KOE NSW Cup champions Souths in a match scheduled as the curtain-raiser to the Sharks v Souths NRL match up at Accor Stadium as they look to consolidate their place towards the top of the competition table.

While some uncertainty exists around the final makeup of the Sharks NRL squad, similarly Newtown will be waiting to see if players will return to bolster their line up for the game scheduled to get underway at 5.10pm on Saturday.

Experienced number nine Jayden Berrell, missing from the drawn game against the Raiders, is likely to return, however talented youngster Sam Healey is also expected to get game time in the hooking role after an impressive start to the 2024 NSW Cup season for the Jets.

Kade Dykes also made a successful return from injury against Canberra and will look to again make a major contribution to the Jets performance.

The Jets are currently in fourth position on the ladder on seven points, the Rabbitohs are fifth one point further back.
