Following a narrow first up loss against the Warriors the Jets returned to the winner’s circle last Friday with a victory over a highly rated Bulldogs side in a round two Knock On Effect NSW Cup match played at PointsBet Stadium.

While the Newtown team always had their noses in front, the match against the Bulldogs came down to the final moments, with an intercept try by Sam Stonestreet as the full-time siren was sounding sealing a 28-16 victory.

The Jets now move onto a round three clash with the Wests Magpies at Lidcombe Oval on Sunday.

The Newtown team list again features a number of Sharks NRL contracted players, with Stonestreet, Danel Atkinson, Niwhai Puru and Jayden Berrell amongst those named to turn out for the Jets this weekend.

The Jets v Wests Magpies NSW Cup match is scheduled for a 2.00pm kick off.
