Late Mail - Sharks v Warriors

The Sharks will go into tonight's Round 1 match against the Warriors at Go Media Stadium as named on Tuesday with halfback Nicho Hynes confirmed to start after overcoming quadriceps tightness.

Hynes and co-captain Dale Finucane (calf tightness) missed their team's final trial against the Bulldogs a fortnight ago as a precaution but have been deemed fit for the sold-out season opener in Auckland, kicking off at 6pm AEDT (8pm local time).

Earlier this week, Hynes said he wouldn't risk playing if he wasn't at 100 per cent.

With Cronulla to run out 1-17, reliable middle forward Jack Williams will record his 100th NRL game off the interchange. Versatile outside back Kayal Iro has been selected as 18th man in case he's required as a concussion substitute.

The match will be broadcast live on Foxtel and Kayo. See the teams below.
