A 40-22 victory over the Eels, following on from a gritty win over the Warriors the week prior, sees the Newtown Jets head into a weekend clash with the Dragons looking to consolidate second position on the KOE NSW Cup ladder.
With 10 wins, four losses and draw to show for their 15 games so far in 2023, the Jets are on 25 competition points, level with competition leaders the Bulldogs and second on percentages.
The Jets opponents this weekend in the St George Illawarra Dragons are currently ninth, however they also come into the contest with a level of confidence having won their last two matches.
The two teams met earlier this season in a round four match played at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, with the Jets winning 30-16.
The Jets v Dragons match is scheduled for a 3.00pm kick off at Henson Park on Saturday.
