The Sharks have announced their 22-man squad to face the Cowboys in their week 1 Finals series clash on Saturday night, with a couple of significant inclusions.
For the match which kicks off at 7.50pm at PointsBet Stadium, fullback Will Kennedy, prop Toby Rudolf and lock Dale Finucane are all listed to return, for a game that sees the winner progress to week three of the Finals and a Grand Final qualifier.
In making way for the three returning stars, Braden Hamlin-Uele and Cameron McInnes revert to the interchange bench, while Lachie Miller, outstanding in recent weeks deputising for Kennedy, has been named as 18th man.
While in further good news for the Sharks, centre Siosifa Talakai, injured in the final minutes of the match against Newcastle last Sunday, trained with the main group at today’s field session and was named in his regular centre position for this week’s Finals match up.
The NRL today announced the Sharks v Cowboys match is already a sell-out, with no further tickets available.
The Newtown Jets, the Sharks partner club in the NSW Cup competition, will also be in action this weekend when they play for a place in the Grand Final. That game will be against the Penrith Panthers, kicking off at 1.00pm at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Saturday. The Jets team will be announced later today.
