For stadium operations staff, a Sharks game day at PointsBet Stadium is about a lot more than opening the gates and turning on the lights.

Broadcaster considerations, catering to the needs of members and fans and making sure everything is in place for the teams taking part, requires attention to detail, with Lauren Chester tasked with such responsibilities at the Sharks.

It’s a busy and all-consuming job, however one she takes on with an abundance of enthusiasm in aiming to provide the best outcome for all concerned.

Growing up in a western Sydney in a rugby league-loving family, Chester’s journey amongst a variety of appointments has included working for a professional sporting organisation in the UK and a stint at the London Olympics, however she has always harbored an ambition to be a part of the NRL, where she now grasps that opportunity in having become a vital member of the Sharks staff as the Stadium Operations Coordinator.

In recognising the NRL’s Women in League Round, Sharks media profiles one of the unsung heroes, someone who probably can’t influence the result on game day, but who is instrumental in helping to deliver almost everything else, including the best possible game day experience for all.
