Graham works towards late season return

Skipper Wade Graham was an interested observer on Wednesday at what was likely to be the Sharks final training session at PointsBet Stadium for sometime.

Graham cast an eye over proceedings before farewelling his teammates who boarded a bus en-route to the airport then the Brisbane NRL bubble which will be the Sharks home for at least the next four weeks.

However despite not being a member of the travelling party, Graham has ambitions to join the team should a second travelling opportunity open up in the weeks ahead as he continues his recovery from the head knocks that currently sees him sidelined.

“I wasn’t going to play over the next four rounds, so the decision was made for me to stay at home with the family, to continue my training, rehab and recovery and to try to be ready to go later in the season,” Graham explained.

Graham has played 11 NRL games this season, however his last match came back in round 14 in the Sharks one-point victory over the Panthers.

The Sharks team arrived in Brisbane late Wednesday, with their next match scheduled for Saturday at 3.00pm against the Canberra Raiders at CBus Stadium on the Gold Coast.
