The Sharks had battled back and grabbed the lead with a spectacular Mawene Hiroti try 10 minutes from time, only for the Knights to break Sharks hearts with his 78th minute match winner.

There were plenty of strong performances from the Cronulla side, with Will Kennedy continuing to impress at the back, Hiroti handed in perhaps his best game in Sharks colours, while Connor Tracey, seemingly in whatever position it is he plays, was again outstanding.

Moylan showed glimpses of his best, his second half especially impressive, with the forwards more than holding their own against the physical Knights pack.
