Tarsha Gale Team List – Finals Week 1

The Sharks Tarsha Gale Cup girls tackle the Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy team in a 6 v 3 sudden-death elimination finals showdown in the under-19 Tarsha Gale competition this weekend.

The Sharks limped into the finals on the back of a last start loss, however they live to fight another day after qualifying in sixth position following the nine-round regular season.

Soundly beaten by the Eels in a match played last Saturday after it was deferred from round seven, the Sharks will attempt to put that performance behind them while give themselves a chance of causing a boilover against the Indigenous side.

The two teams played out a close fought game back in round 4, however the final score line of 14-8 to the Roosters an indication of how evenly matched they appear to be.

If they hope to enjoy success on Saturday and to advance in the Tarsha Finals series, the Sharks will be looking for the halves pairing of Zali Hopkins and Alexandra Weir to steer the team around the field, while utilising the speed the Cronulla side has in the outside backs.

The match is set down for an 11am kick-off at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday, with the Sharks squad listed below.
