Jersey Flegg Team List - Round 3

It may not have been pretty, but a win, in difficult conditions, against a tricky opponent in the Victorian Thunderbolts, was a positive to take out of the weekend with the Jersey Flegg Sharks notching their first victory of the 2021 season.

The Sharks were forced to work hard for the points against the Victorian team, a late try sealing an 18-10 win, their first of the year after suffering a narrow loss to the Dragons in round one.

While there were far too many errors for coach Daniel Holdsworth’s liking, the Sharks displayed resilience at the defensive end, conceding just two tries in the match played in wet and slippery conditions at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

The Sharks and Thunderbolts were in fact the only game to take place in the Jersey Flegg competition in round two, with Cronulla’s opponents this week in the Eels yet to play a game in 2021 after a bye in round one and a washout last weekend.

The round three clash will take place at McCredie Park, kicking off at 2.30pm, with the Sharks team listed below.
