Trial Team List – Sharks v Bulldogs

All players fit and available will be on deck for the Sharks when they tackle the Bulldogs in an NRL trial match on Saturday night.

In their final hit-out ahead of a round one match-up with the St George Illawarra Dragons on March 14, the Sharks will be skippered by Wade Graham, with senior teammates Chad Townsend, Josh Dugan, Matt Moylan, Aaron Woods and Andrew Fifita also a part of a 21-man squad as named by coach John Morris.

In addition to Fifita, Briton Nikora and Jesse Ramien will also back up from the All Stars game last weekend, while competition for spots in the Sharks side will be intense as a number of players look to impress Morris and his coaching staff ahead of the kick off to the season in two weeks’ time.

Despite their absence on Saturday, Aiden Tolman and Toby Rudolf are likely to be available to return for the season-opener against the Dragons, with the pair to miss the trial while nursing minor leg injuries.

The match against the Bulldogs will also see the Sharks come up against former teammate Kyle Flanagan, while ex-Raider Nick Cotric is set to play his first game in Canterbury colours.

Kick-off on Saturday night is at 6.00pm, with a Jersey Flegg trial getting underway at 2.00pm, followed by the Newtown Jets playing the Bulldogs in a NSW Cup match at 3.45pm.

The Sharks are also expected to supply the Jets with a number of their squad members to compete in the NSW Cup trial, with some of those likely to back up and play in the main NRL game later in the evening.
